The White House put its toughest rhetoric about the fate of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on Robert Gibbs yesterday, on an appearance on CNN, “he’s going to meet justice, and he’s going to meet his maker,” said the press secretary. “He’s likely to be executed for the heinous crimes he committed,” continued Gibbs.

The once closed issue of where to put the “KSM” trial has been re-opened due to budget and safety concerns of holding it in lower Manhattan, allowing critics to again accuse the White House of being soft on terror. Senior Advisor David Axelrod also hit the airwaves, and called the criticisms a double standard on Meet the Press (see later in the clip above).
