OverDrive Launches iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch Audiobook App
OverDrive, the distributor of digital books and audiobooks to libraries and retailers, has launched an iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch app called OverDrive Media Console. The app plays OverDrive-distributed content borrowed or bought from OverDrive’s distribution clients, which include Barnes & Noble and Borders.
The app is free and allows users to wirelessly download audiobooks from participating retailers and libraries. For library patrons, the app will automatically delete audiobooks when they’re due, so no late fees (but also no being sneaky and keeping your audiobooks extra-long).
