Our Power Is Intoxicating

We had a bit of a rough day yesterday with the whole truth and accuracy thing. We got a little persnickety and pointed out an error in Robin Pogrebin’s article about Terry Riley’s stepping down and over MoMA’s design department. Turned out to be a bit of a talking point later that evening, and it occurred to us through the suggestion of others that it was entirely likely that it was just a copy desk mistake, given that everyone refers to Ms. Sejima just as Sejima and really, how could they have known Kazuyo was a chick name?

And then, this morning, a little bored, we checked back for a correction. None appended, but the online text has been fixed. And with that, we’ve finally learned our lesson.

With great power comes great responsibility.
