Omnicom Reports Revenue and Net Income Increases in 2010

Omnicom Group – home to PR firms including Fleishman-Hillard, Porter Novelli, and Ketchum – has announced a 9.8 percent increase in worldwide revenue for Q4 2010, for a total of about $3.59 billion. That’s an increase from $3.27 billion for Q4 2009. The company also reported a 7.4 percent increase in net income to $246.5 million from $229.6 billion year-over-year.

For the 12 months ending December 31, 2010, there was a 7 percent increase in global revenue to $12.54 billion from $11.72 billion in 2009. Net income went up 4.4 percent to $827.7 billion from $793 billion last year.

On the domestic side, Omnicom’s revenue for Q4 increased 12.6 percent for the quarter to $1.84 billion, an increase over the $1.63 billion announced the previous year. For the year, domestic revenue increased 8.2 percent to $6.68 billion from $6.18 billion the year prior.

Internationally, the company reports a seven percent revenue increase in Q4 to $1.75 billion from $1.64 billion in 2009. And for the year, a 5.7 percent increase this year to $5.86 billion versus $5.54 billion last year.

Omnicom also announced yesterday that it has raised the quarterly cash dividend 25 percent from 20 to 25 cents per outstanding share of common stock.

PR represented 8.3 percent of revenue in the fourth quarter with $299 million, a 7.9 percent increase year-over-year. That number is also a 7.1 percent organic increase.

For the year, PR represented 9.1 percent of total revenue with about $1.15 billion. That’s a 6.5 percent increase, and a 5.2 percent organic change.
