I found it interesting that the first post on the offical Twitter Mobile blog:
Twitter for BlackBerry App Now Available
This is, to my knowledge, the first official Twitter client for any platform. Then, this item appeared in Loren Brichter’s blog:
Loren developed the popular Tweetie apps for Mac OS X and the iPhone. This blog item announced that Twitter had purchased Tweetie and Loren’s services (as part of team Twitter).
Official mobile Twitter apps will certainly help new users jump on board quickly.
