Nook Touch Ad Hits Print

Barnes & Noble is taking on Amazon in its new print ad promoting the Nook Touch.

In the ad, the Nook Touch is positioned next to the Kindle and the copy highlights that it is smaller, lighter and has more battery life than the Kindle. (The battery assertion is questionable).

The tagline of the ad is “Goliath, meet David.” This is interesting, because Kobo CEO Michael Serbinis pitched the new Kobo Touch with the same metaphor when he introduced the new Kobo Touch at a press conference in New York, and the Nook Touch and the Kobo Touch have a lot in common.
