NFL to Fans: Tag the Super Bowl

The National Football League isn’t benching its social-media-using fans in the two weeks leading up to Super Bowl XLIV, launching Tag the Super Bowl, a scrapbook-style site that combines Twitter feeds and Flickr photo feeds related to the big game, SportsBusiness Journal reported.

The league also launched a marketing effort to encourage fans to incorporate the hashtag #SB44 into their Super Bowl-related tweets, according to SBJ.

And on AFC/NFC Media Day Tuesday, Feb. 2, Tag the Super Bowl will feature live video feeds from the 12 player and coach podiums, as well as from an additional camera roaming around the event, SBJ reported.

NFL Online general manager Laura Goldberg told SBJ:

Very simply, we’re trying to provide a way for fans not at the Super Bowl to get a better sense of what’s happening through the eyes of other fans.
