Mobile Outlook Update for Windows Mobile 6.1

Microsoft has released an update to the Outlook E-Mail client on Windows Mobile 6.1 that takes advantage of features in Microsoft Exchange 2010. Unfortunately the features are not available without an Exchange 2010 server, so most consumers will not be able to take advantage of the following:

– E-mails grouped by conversation: Not only can you see messages group together, but you can also take actions like deleting, replying, moving, and flagging all of the messages in a group

– Free & busy has been updated to show a person’s busy time on a calendar strip that is shown on the same screen as the person’s contact information

– Sync SMS Messages with Exchange: Text messages that you receive on the phone are stored on the Exchange server where they can be read and replied to.
