Mobile Media Services Spend: $102 Billion By 2012

Consumers and advertisers will spend $102 billion a year on mobile media services by 2012, according to a new report from Strategy Analytics. That’s more than double the $47 million spent last year on the category, which includes mobile Web access, video and music products.

The huge increase isn’t all that surprising when coupled with the market researcher’s forecast that the number of mobile users accessing content and data services will also double over the same period, from 406 million to 870 million.
