Microsoft Introducing Hotmail Push Sync: Would Have Been Cool in 2005, Now? Meh

Coming soon to Hotmail, push email for mobile phones via ActiveSync

needs a small tweak. That should be “via Exchange ActiveSync”. This means that Hotmail email will be able to do what BlackBerry phones have done for a decade: Provide push email. Google provided this service for free for a variety of phone platforms including Windows Mobile, Android, and iPhone for the past year. It also let you sync Google Calendar and Google Contacts over the air.
