LinkedIn: How to Mention Someone in Stories

Tag a user on the platform

LinkedIn began testing Stories internally in February LinkedIn

LinkedIn Stories officially rolled out on the professional network last month. The feature allows users to share pictures or short videos that appear at the top of users’ feeds.

LinkedIn allows users to customize their Stories posts in a number of ways. For instance, you can “mention” another user if you want to tag them in your post. Our guide will show you how this works.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the LinkedIn application on iOS. Also note, you can add a “mention” to your post before taking a picture or video, but for this guide, we’re going to add a mention after a photo has been taken.

Step 1: Once you’ve taken or imported a photo or video in Stories, tap the sticker icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap “Mention.”

Step 3: Type the name of the person you want to mention, and then tap their name in the list that appears.

From there, you can continue editing your post as normal. If you want to rotate or change the size of the mention sticker, tap the symbol containing the triangle, square and circle in the top-right corner of the screen.
