Facebook announced three new updates to its Facebook Marketing Partners program at its annual Global Partner Summit in New York Wednesday.

The social network has begun testing its Creative Compass tool with select partners, with the aim of rolling it out to all partners sometime next year.

Creative Compass enables partners to measure the impact of ad creative by examining key elements including visual aspects, brand association and fit so that they can determine how likely people are to take action after seeing an ad.

Facebook also announced the creation of Facebook Marketing Consultants, which is geared toward individuals in the digital marketing community, rather than just companies.

The first round of Facebook Marketing Consultants comes from North America, the U.K., France and Germany, and the social network said in a blog post, “Beyond agencies, we know there are individuals and qualified professionals who can help businesses grow, so we’re testing a new program called Facebook Marketing Consultants to connect advertisers with vetted professionals to fulfill demand for technology implementation services such as pixel deployments, product catalog setup and dynamic ads campaign setup.”

Finally, Facebook has begun testing a new program in select markets, Facebook Pro, to help bring smaller agencies that had not previously qualified to become Facebook Marketing Partners into its partner ecosystem.

The social network said more details would come in 2019, adding in its blog post, “We want to help small and medium advertisers find new service providers that meet their marketing needs.” David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
