Greeting cards, dating apps, Grooveshark, Microsoft, photos, more on this week’s top 20 growing Facebook apps by DAU

An interesting mix of applications grew by daily active users this week. There were page tabs, greeting card apps, dating apps, Connect apps and a photo app. The titles below grew between 120,000 and 1 million DAU, based on AppData, our data tracking service covering growth for apps on Facebook.

Static HTML: iframe tabs grew by 1 million DAU and another tab app, Static Iframe Tab, by 200,000 DAU. Greeting card apps tend to grow by prompting users to invite friends before using the app, asking users to post to the stream or friends’ Walls and allowing for customized cards. Greeting Cards grew by 970,000 DAU,  Greetings by 580,000 DAU, Cards by 440,000 DAU and Holiday Card List ★ by 300,000 DAU.

Dating apps included: Onedate with 500,000 DAU, schoolFeed with 300,000 DAU, Niik with 260,000 DAU and Twoo with 140,000 DAU. Then there was music Connect app, Grooveshark, with 210,000 DAU and another Connect app, Microsoft Live with 200,000 DAU. The iPad app, MyPad for iPad saw 200,000 new DAU. My Photos grew by 140,000 DAU. It presents users with a photo gallery of their friends’ photos, allowing them to Like or save them. Liking them publishes a feed story.
