Government Printing Office To Sell eBooks Via iTunes

The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), the agency that helps federal agencies produce books and reports, has teamed up with Apple to sell federal eBooks.

The partnership adds iTunes to the distribution network where government agency eBooks are available. GPO agencies are already selling eBooks through Google, Barnes & Noble, OverDrive, Ingram, and Zinio.

Davita Vance-Cooks, acting public printer, stated: “GPO is establishing itself as a source for Government publications in an eBook format through our relationships with multiple vendors. I am pleased that GPO provides the public with access to many popular Federal eBook titles.
