LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner skyrocketed up the list of Glassdoor’s sixth annual Employees’ Choice Awards Top CEOs in 2018 list, while his counterpart at Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, continued his slow decline.
Weiner shot up from No. 35 on the 2017 list and a 94 percent approval rating to No. 8 and 97 percent this year.
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg slipped to No. 16 (96 percent approval rating) from No. 10 (98 percent) in 2017 and No. 4 in 2016.
A LinkedIn employee based in Omaha, Neb., told Glassdoor, “Best CEO and board in the world, great organization culture, awesome perks, salaries above average, opportunities to develop your career, successful business and good principles of corporate social responsibility.”
And a product manager based in Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., told the job and recruiting site, “The company embodies ‘be open’—there is a transparency to the decision making, be it at team level or at management and leadership level, that I’ve never encountered before. It’s refreshing to be able to ask any question I want to Mark.”
Eric Yuan, CEO of enterprise video communications provider Zoom Video Communications, finished atop the 2018 list for large companies, while the small and midsized business crown went to Sanjit Biswas, CEO of Samsara, which builds internet-connected sensor systems.

- Satya Nadella, Microsoft, No. 20, 96 percent
- Brad Smith, Intuit, No. 22, 96 percent
- Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment, No. 23, 96 percent
- Brian Halligan, HubSpot, No. 26, 95 percent
- Sundar Pichai, Google, No. 45, 94 percent
