Former President Jimmy Carter Loves Wife Rosalynn Carter 'The Goodest'
In the recent issue of People magazine, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn Carter offered an exclusive interview at their home and shared stories of their love for each other since their marriage in 1946.
In a preview piece online by People’s Sandra Sobieraj Westfall, the former president recalled a gift of a compact he gave Rosalynn inscribed with ‘ILYTG.’
“‘I love you the goodest.’ That’s what my mother and daddy used to say back and forth, and I picked it up with Rosa,” explained Carter of the acronym.
