Facebook Testing 'Mark That You Don't Know' for Friend Requests

Facebook is testing a new feature that adds an extra step to ignoring friend requests, Inside Facebook reports.

Once friend requests are ignored, users of the social-networking site now have the option to “mark that you don’t know” the user making the request, which Inside Facebook believes will prevent multiple friend requests from the same users and also possibly weed out spam users more quickly.

A Facebook spokesperson told Inside Facebook, “Our security team is currently just testing this feature to help inform certain limits on friend requests and combat spam.”
