Facebook Revealed New Cities and Dates for Its Facebook Community Boost Program

The initiative is aimed at helping small U.S. businesses grow and learn digital skills

Facebook announced an updated schedule for its Facebook Community Boost events, which are aimed at helping small U.S. businesses grow and learn digital skills.

The Facebook Community Boost program was unveiled last November, with vice president of small business Dan Levy saying in a Newsroom post at the time that the initiative would benefit job seekers, entrepreneurs, business owners and people looking to sharpen and develop their online skills.

New dates for previous announced Facebook Community Boost cities are:

  • Denver, June 18 and 19
  • Hampton, Va., June 26 through 28
  • Phoenix, July 9 and 10
  • Buffalo, N.Y., July 9 through 11
  • Minneapolis, July 18 and 19
  • Helena, Mont., July 24 and 25
  • Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 1 through 3
  • Menlo Park/East Palo Alto, Calif., Aug. 27 through 30

New cities and dates on the list are:

  • San Diego, Aug. 6 and 7
  • Pittsburgh, Aug. 9 and 10
  • Topeka, Kan., Sept. 5 and 6
  • Springfield, Mass., Sept. 10 and 11
  • Jackson, Miss., Sept. 18 and 19
  • Atlanta, Sept. 24 through 26
  • Omaha, Neb., Oct. 2 through 4
  • Edison, N.J., Oct. 8 and 9

And new cities for Facebook’s Boost Your Business program—which provides businesses with the most up-to-date tools, insights and best practices for achieving success on Facebook and Instagram—are:

  • New York, May 22
  • Norwalk, Conn., May 23
  • Greater Shreveport, La., area, June 18

Facebook global marketing director, small business Doug Frisbie said in a Newsroom post, “The 80 million small businesses on Facebook represent one of the largest communities of small businesses in the world, and we are building more technology and new programs based on their feedback to help them grow, trade and hire.”
