Facebook Places Comes To Canada As App Market Heats Up

Canada is the latest country to get Facebook Places, the fourth market after the U.S., Japan and Britain.

We received a tip from a reader that Places was live in Canada earlier today and reports in the Canadian press back this up. The news comes a few days after the Canadian Privacy Commissoner cleared Facebook’s privacy changes in May.

Places, Facebook’s version of a location check-in service, first launched in the U.S. in August. Japan and the UK followed last week and Australia is tipped to get it “soon”.
