Media Outlets Will Tap Facebook Live During Republican, Democratic National Conventions
More than 20 media outlets will live-stream elements of their coverage of the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention via Facebook Live.
More than 20 media outlets will live-stream elements of their coverage of the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention via Facebook Live.
Hadas Gold of Politico reported that media outlets including C-SPAN, CNN, Yahoo, Fox News, The New York Times and local outlets.
Those media companies will live-stream from “Facebook Lounge” studios at both convention venues. For example, C-SPAN told Steve Dent of Engadget that it will go live on its Facebook page from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET each night during the RNC and DNC.
Facebook head of government and politics outreach Crystal Patterson told Gold:
This is the most engaged we’ve been at the convention, and it’s highly correlated to the fact that we have a lot of tools to offer.
