The game allows players to build their own casino and include games like Blackjack, Video Poker and Roulette. The more popular your casino, the more people that use your machines, and you use your earnings from this to add style to your casino, but also create an avatar, visit your friends' casinos, and play games there! The game consists of two separate activities: building your casino and playing games at friends' casinos. The casino builder element is similar to games like Cafe World and Restaurant City, except you're decorating your casino, and each object is a games machine that friends and AI casino-goers will play when they visit your casino. I dropped a few slot machines on my land, and immediately started collecting profits by clicking on the machines and watching my little disco-obsessed avatar jump over there. The mechanism is time-based, so each first level slot machine will give players about 30 seconds of joy before you have to collect your winnings and reset them for more profits. This is a pretty short timeframe, and unless you're sitting there all day you'll probably not get as much as you can out of them. For that reason, you want to quickly power up to buy things like better Slot machines or Blackjack tables, which entertain guests for 15 minutes or so. I got those in my area and had a great time reaping the rewards. The game playing mode is also pretty sweet. I can take some of a second blue currency to other people's casinos and try to win by playing games like Blackjack and Roulette. I'm not sure how I collect that blue money other than by getting bonuses from visiting friends, yet. The graphics are decent on the games, but not great, and not as impressive as the builder mode graphics. However, since the game system is so integrated into my one big bankroll, it's a good thrill to play the games. Overall, I'm pretty surprised by how addictive and fun the game is. Watching the introduction to the game, I couldn't imagine a better advertising campaign for the Golden Nugget casino. With fun little avatars, this game will bring their brand to a whole slew of casual gamers who probably hadn't heard of the particular brand before. Also, the glamorous experience of heading through your friend's casinos to play games at their tables (and let them gain some profits) makes the whole experience seem social and fun, which is great for GN Casino and the Las Vegas experience as well.
