Universal Pictures Home Entertainment teamed up with Facebook to create sharable in-store and in-home augmented reality experiences tied to the Sept. 18 North American home entertainment launch of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

The integrated AR experiences will be available via Facebook’s flagship mobile applications and its Messenger app.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment said the initiative marks the largest retail effort of its kind for both parties, and the first integrated AR experience across the social network’s family of apps.

On release day, Sept. 18, participating retailers in 18 countries will feature in-store displays including instructions on how customers can trigger the integrated AR experience by scanning a special QR code that brings the Indoraptor to life.

For those at home, a collectible insert within the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD packaging activates the experience via Messenger Camera, featuring an interactive baby version of Blue, the film’s Velociraptor hero, which can be placed in any environment. Video of Baby Blue behaving curiously, playfully, and aggressively can be captured and shared with friends.
