ESPN Loves L.A.

ESPN.com continued its expansion into local-market sites with the launch of ESPN Los Angeles, which joins fellow local sites ESPN Chicago, ESPN Boston and ESPN Dallas.

ESPN Los Angeles features exclusive content from local contributors, as well as fare from KABC-TV and The Huffington Post Los Angeles.

Eric Neel was named managing editor of ESPN Los Angeles. Neel has been with ESPN and ESPN The Magazine for eight years, and he has covered Los Angeles-area teams including Major League Baseball’s Dodgers and Angels and the National Basketball Association’s Lakers and Clippers since 2001, also contributing regularly to ESPN’s Rome Is Burning.

ESPN Local senior vice president and general manager Jim Pastor said:

Today marks a starting point, not a culmination.
