ECS Elitepad S10 Tablet Clears FCC

A new Windows 7 tablet showed up on the FCC website yesterday, it appears to be the first of tablet using Intel’s new low-power Oak Trail chipset.

The tablet has a 10″ capacitive touchscreen and is running on a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom CPU with 1GB RAM, a SD card slot, Wifi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP camera, accelerometer, speakers, microphone, and an ambient light sensor. It also  has USB host and HDMI out.

According to the manual, battery life is around 6 hours and the S10 weighs about 1.6 lbs.

There’s no sign of when it will hit the market or how much it will cost. But I can say that it will probably sport some other brand name (that’s what ECS usually does).
