Double-Double, Animal-Style and Make it Go
A titan of Southern California culture has died. Esther Snyder, co-founder of In-n-Out, was 86.
Besides expanding the waistlines of Southern Californians since 1948, the burger chain enriched the language. Newcomers to LA and environs had to learn the secret code: double-double, animal-style, 2×4, 3 by meat–and fries well done.
The LA Times obit mentions that contributions may be made to the In-N-Out Burger Foundation, 13502 Hamburger Lane, Baldwin Park, CA 91706. FBLA plans to donate at the one 7009 Sunset, near Vine.
