DotSpots Targets Iran

DotSpots released a pre-beta version to try to make it easier for citizens and bloggers in Iran to communicate with the rest of the world.

DotSpots described its Dots as “distributed objects of thought” and “mini-blog posts designed to be easily created, collaboratively improved and automatically distributed by all who see them.”

Users can now create their own Dots; add Dots live in news articles, in context; and add anything they feel is important or missing in the news.

“We have launched early because we feel our tool is valuable for situations like the one in Iran, so we are a little rough around the edges,” DotSpots said on its tutorial page.
