Chipotle Together Hangouts on Zoom Are a Way to Cope With Social Distancing

Up to 3,000 fans can join celebrity guests, starting with The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood

People aren’t hanging out in real-life while practicing social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic, so Chipotle is providing a way to hang out virtually.

The fast-casual chain will host daily Chipotle Together virtual lunchtime hangouts on meeting application Zoom, featuring celebrity guests and up to 3,000 fans.

The links will be made available via Chipotle’s Twitter feed.

Colton Underwood of The Bachelor will host the first Chipotle Together Monday at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET, during which he will chat with fans and walk them through a Chipotle-inspired presentation.

The chain is also offering free delivery on all orders of $10 via its app and website during the month of March, and it is responding to the coronavirus with steps including: delivery kitchens with dedicated teams and ingredient stations to prepare digital orders; new tamper-evident packaging; and a delivery tracker in its app to provide customers with step-by-step real-time updates.
