I started using Bing on the iPhone a bit more after rediscovering its talents yesterday.

I noticed a icon on the Bing app’s main screen labeled “camera” and wondered what it did. Tapping revealed that Bing for iPhone contains a product scanner. You’ve probably seen or used one of the many such barcode and object recognition apps available for the iPhone and other smartphones. I tried both modes with a number of items lying around.
