Attensity Group: Sentiment Favors Netherlands in Sunday's World Cup Final

Just because more people are talking about you, that doesn’t mean they’re saying nice things, as customer-experience-software provider Attensity Group discovered in its analysis of social-media sentiment about Sunday’s 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa final between the Netherlands and Spain.
Spain accounted for 54 percent of the total conversation on Twitter, Facebook, blogs, videos, and online forums, but only 47 percent of chatter about La Furia was positive. The result was the opposite for the Oranje, as the Dutch squad was the topic of only 46 percent of total conversation, but 53 percent of that expressed positive sentiment.
