AOL Music has closed down and laid off its employees, according to now-jobless staffers' Tweets on Friday. AOL Music encompassed sites like Spinner, TheBoomBox, The Boot and Noisecreep.
One of AOL Music's subsidiaries, the rock news website Spinner, Tweeted the news to its 48,000 followers.
The since-deleted Tweet read, "Hey guys. Just found out from AOL that we're shutting down. Today is our last day. Seriously."
Spinner's editor Dan Reilly has been keeping his followers up-to-date on his personal account.
Well, we all just got laid off.
