Aeria Games Announces Echo of Soul for North America, Europe

Free-to-play games company Aeria Games has announced that Echo of Soul, a fantasy-themed MMORPG, will be coming to North America and Europe in Spring 2015. The game was originally launched in Korea last year, and was developed by Nvius Corporation (including members of the team behind another MMO, Lineage II). In Echo of Soul, players choose from five classes and explore what’s described as a “massive” game world.

Players in Echo of Soul are called to “defeat the dark” and “summon the light.” While completing solo or party dungeons, users collect the souls of their enemies, which can be used to customize their characters. Users can complete over 1,600 unique quests, raids and other challenges, and the overall title offers “thousands of hours” of gameplay, with both PvP and PvE content being available.

“Since its launch in Korea last year, Echo of Soul has been one of the top MMORPGs, with gamers praising its rich gameplay and incredible content,” said June Sung Kim, CEO of Nvius Corporation, in a statement. “We are excited to be able to bring this vast world and its unique soul system to Western players next year with the launch in North America, Germany and France.”

Outside of the game, players will be able to download the Echo of Soul companion app, which allows them to stay connected to the game and their specific guild even when away.

Echo of Soul will launch as a free-to-play experience on PC next year. Players interested in signing up for the closed beta can do so here.
