Poshmark Expands Into Pets to Show It Can Grow Post-IPO

The resale marketplace is the latest to capitalize on growing pet ownership in the U.S.

Fashion resale marketplace Poshmark is adding a new pet category to cater to the animal lover in all of us.

The move comes as pet ownership in the U.S. hits 67% and capitalizes on two recent trends: secondhand goods and pets.

Poshmark is the latest retailer to expand its focus on pets, following the likes of Tractor Supply Co., as consumers have sought the companionship of animals during the pandemic. The ecommerce platform said the addition serves as an example of the many ways Poshmark can continue to grow the business.
