What’s Changed at Papa John’s Since the Ouster of the Pizza Chain’s Founder

Victoria Russell is the first African-American member of the Papa John’s leadership team. She got there through hard work, determination and the high-profile downfall of company CEO and founder John Schnatter. Schnatter’s drawn-out departure over, among other things, racially charged comments, created an internal awakening at the pizza chain.

Victoria Russell, a 13-year Papa John’s veteran, stepped up and into a new role putting issues of diversity and inclusion front and center. We sat down with Russell following a recent Adweek D&I Council meeting to find out what’s Top of Mind at Papa John’s. Watch above.
