Today we announce the launch of a new advisory committee: The Adweek Diversity and Inclusion Council. This new committee is comprised of marketing industry’s leading Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Brand Officers, Chief Executive Officers, Brand Presidents, and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officers at the helm of some of the world’s most renowned brands. The diverse perspective from different verticals, different roles, different backgrounds was purposeful to bring this one dynamic group together under a collective shared passion – advancing diversity and inclusion in the marketing ecosystem.

The council will focus on awareness, collaboration and impact. This council will oversee multiple initiatives, including a new Adweek Mentor Program that will be announced in the coming weeks, as well as working across the industry to collaborate on creating or surfacing meaningful diversity and inclusion measures for marketers to lead change in their organizations.

Adweek has been at the forefront of covering and advocating for Diversity and Inclusion for years, having published more than 150 articles in the past eight months. Our Steering Committee and recent CMO Symposiums have only underscored the importance for accelerating change, together.
