SAN FRANCISCO Publicis in Mid America has won the estimated $15 million creative and media account of Western Wireless, sources said.

The Dallas agency contended in the finals against independent shop Hoffman/Lewis in San Francisco.

Interpublic Group’s Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas, was eliminated from contention last week. A fourth shop, Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, had dropped out of the review earlier.

Earlier this week, the two finalists presented their ideas to the Bellevue, Wash., company’s senior leadership.
