Trinity Taps Klaus Gensheimer

Trinity Communications has brought Klaus Gensheimer aboard as director of creative services. Gensheimer will oversee the creative department at the 45-person marketing agency in Boston.

“I’ll be focusing on beefing up Trinity’s advertising capabilities,” said Gensheimer, who will work mainly on the Putnam Investments and New England Financial accounts.

“I was looking for someone with lots of experience in the financial arena” to help improve the shop’s creative product, said Dan Logan, the agency’s co-founder and president. Gensheimer will head the creative department along with Sue Wolski and Jessica Briggs.

Most recently, Gensheimer worked as vice president, co-director at Funds Distributor, a Boston-based outsourcing company for money managers. He left in May.

Gensheimer started his career in 1976 at Ketchum Communications. Then he worked at Young & Rubicam, New York, from 1978 to 1989, rising to the position of senior vice president/-associate creative director. At Y&R he worked on the Merrill Lynch account, authoring the client’s “A breed apart” tagline.

Gensheimer also served as vice president/director of creative services at Fidelity Investments (Logan’s former employer) and managed the creative strategy around the Fleet/Shawmut merger while at Arnold, Boston.

Trinity’s client list includes Ceridian, Seaport Hotel and the World Trade Center, Holland & Knight and SSGA Funds.
