Steven Ogg Continues to Hawk Good Hygiene in New Old Spice Shopping Network Ads

A squeaky clean campaign from 2016 gets an update

Leaders from Glossier, Shopify, Mastercard and more will take the stage at Brandweek to share what strategies set them apart and how they incorporate the most valued emerging trends. Register to join us this September 23–26 in Phoenix, Arizona.

As the “Old Spice Shopping Network” makes its return, so does its determined—and somewhat omnipresent— salesman and celebrated odor analyst, Bob Giovanni.

“We’re excited to reintroduce our beloved ’80s pitchman Bob Giovanni in the most hilarious way that only Old Spice can do,” said Matt Krehbiel, Old Spice vp at Procter & Gamble, as the brand released a new set of oddball infomercial-style ads for its line of products designed to fight intense sweating.

This recent continuation of the 2016 campaign marks the return of Canadian actor Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead, Snowpiercer) as the over-the-top salesman who works overtime to represent Old Spice’s shower gels, sprays, shampoos and deodorants.
