Seasoned Creatives Moll, Rockett Sign With MMB

Mark Moll and Matt Rockett have joined McCarthy Mambro Bertino as associate creative director and senior art director, respectively.

“We’ve had our eye on [Moll and Rockett] for a while,” said MMB president Fred Bertino. “Their addition is part of adding depth to our creative capabilities. We have some great ac counts and that helps us attract great people.”

Bertino and Jamie Mambro are the Boston agency’s co-creative directors. Moll joins copywriter David Register on the associate creative director tier. David Kirkman is senior art director.

Moll and Rockett are assigned to the shop’s largest account, Jiffy Lube, on which they have freelanced for the past few months. The pair is currently developing a four-spot campaign for Jiffy Lube that will break later this spring.

Moll, a copywriter, has worked at several Boston-area agencies. Most recently, he was at Holland Mark as a senior copywriter on accounts including Polaroid and Veryfine. That Boston shop closed in October.

Moll was also a senior copywriter at Mullen, Wenham, Mass., from 1999 to 2000. There, he helped craft spots for Monster.com and Oxygen Media. Moll worked at Arnold, Boston, for three years in the late 1990s on brands such as Converse and Bell Atlantic (now Verizon).

In addition to Jiffy Lube, Moll will work on MMB’s British Telecom, Stowe Resorts and Thomasville Furniture accounts.

“I’d like to keep pushing the creative forward [at MMB],” said Moll.

Rockett will contribute to pitches in addition to helping de velop Jiffy Lube ads. Previously, he was an art director at Deutsch’s short-lived Boston office, which closed last summer. Prior to Deutsch, Rockett worked at Arnold from 1994 to 1999 on accounts such as Royal Caribbean and FleetBoston.
