Prime Point’s Hanrahan Joins OMD

NEW YORK Jack Hanrahan, the former chief marketing officer for Prime Point Media, has joined OMD USA as director of strategic print communications.

In this newly created position, Hanrahan, 55, assumes all responsibilities for developing and negotiating all print strategic plans and the development of all integrated media plans, an OMD representative said.

He will also be a member of the OMD executive committee. His first day is Dec. 1.

At Prime Point Media, he was credited as having positioned the media startup in the nontraditional out-of-home space and sold initial and repeat business programs to clients such as Procter & Gamble, MasterCard and McDonald’s.

In 1975, Hanrahan began his career at Leo Burnett in Chicago, eventually becoming vp, director of media research in 1979. He was named svp, group media director with additional responsibility for negotiation of magazine buys for Philip Morris and Kraft General Foods/Miller in 1991.

After leaving Burnett in 1997, he joined The Coca-Cola Company as assistant vp, director of strategic media with responsibility for Coca-Cola’s local media management capability. He left Coca-Cola in 2001 to join Prime Point.

Hanrahan will report to Page Thompson, OMD’s CEO.
