NEW YORK Executive officers at Omnicom chose not to receive cash bonuses in 2002, even though performance criteria had been met.

According to the company’s proxy filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, senior management wanted to assure that mid-level and operating management received “substantial incentive compensation” while at the same time allowing Omnicom to meet shareholder objectives.

Those who did not collect additional monies were CEO John Wren, who got bonuses of $1.3 million in 2001; DAS CEO Thomas Harrison, $1.2 million; vice chairman Peter Mead, about $1.3 million; DDB chairman Keith Reinhard, $1.1 million; and BBDO CEO Allen Rosenshine, $1.1 million.
