Miley-Dyer grew up in New South Wales, Australia, and began surfing when she was 8. She spent 15 years as a pro surfer, winning many prestigious competitions before joining WSL in 2011. And in 2018, Miley-Dyer played a key role in bringing pay equity to pro surfing. WSL became the first U.S.-based sports group to offer equal pay globally for every competitor.
