Miller's new brand duties may precipitate an agency review

As Miller Brewing Co. prepares to take over marketing and distribution of Foster’s Lager and Foster’s Light and the line of Molson beers in the U.S. this week, Miller may be preparing to look for an agency to handle the advertising.
The company has hired former Barton Brands executive Mike Mazzoni as a consultant. Although sources close to the brewer say that Mazzoni is currently working with distributors, he may be asked for input in a review for the new brands.
A Miller spokesperson would only say that advertising is one area Miller would examine and could not confirm late Friday if Mazzoni was working for Miller.
