Massport Site Tops MIMC Awards

The Massachusetts Port Authority Web site took top honors at the fourth annual Massachusetts Interactive Media Council awards.
Massport.com, created by NetNumina Solutions of Boston and Raincastle Communications of Newton, Mass., picked up best of show and was judged “best in use of technology” for its category of business-to-consumer marketing sites.
“It was awesome,” said NetNumina president Anish Dhanda. “It was like the academy awards.”
More than 1,000 New England technology professionals came out for Wednesday night’s festive award ceremony at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. MIMC presented prizes for the top entries in 27 categories and, for the first time, handed out four “best of” honors.
The best concept prize went to JuniorNet Corp. of Boston (Juniornet.com), which also won in the children’s/young adult category. Double Decker Studios in Boston earned best design for a CD-ROM for Solomon Snowboards.
Other winners included: Arnold Communications, Boston, for online advertising for Volkswagen of America (turbonium.com); Corey McPherson Nash, Watertown, Mass., for business-to-business sales online (forrester.com) Brodeur Interactive, Newton, Mass., for business-to-business marketing online (praecis.com); and Show + Tell, Chestnut Hill, Mass., for an online self-promotion (showtell.com).
