NEW YORK Henry Kornhauser, an adman for 50 years and originator of the claim “Four out of five dentists recommend Trident,” died yesterday after a 10-month struggle with the progressive neurological disease myasthenia gravis. He was 73.

Kornhauser was born in 1932 in Vienna, Austria, son of George and Erna Kornhauser. When Germany invaded that city in 1938, the family escaped to the United States. He was raised in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan and attended City College at night.
