Venice Warehouse Blends Fantasy, Functionality
LOS ANGELES–You’ve heard of the “virtual office”? Get ready for the world’s first “symbiotic office.”
That’s what Kovel Kresser & Partners chief creative officer Lee Kovel is calling his agency’s newly opened office in funky Venice, Calif., one block from the Pacific Ocean.
Kovel defines the roughly 30,000-square-foot area, which formerly housed a Safeway supermarket, as “a cross between a newsroom and a college study hall.” “The [symbiotic office] brings people together when they want to be brought together, while still giving them their own personal space,” he said.
