A new survey confirms what everyone assumes to be true: People weigh more now.

Throughout the month of February, data analytics firm YouGov asked 19,000 adults located in more than a dozen countries around the globe—from Indonesia to Denmark to the United Arab Emirates to the United States—if they’ve gained any weight since the outbreak of Covid-19 in their region. In total, 45% of survey participants said they had.

The amount gained varies. Around one in five people reported weighing between 1-5 pounds more.
