As marketers are increasingly looking at the balance between their branding and brand purpose with a greater focus on performance, Omnicom marketing consultancy Interbrand is moving two of its veteran executives up.

The company has promoted Gonzalo Brujó to global chief executive officer. Brujó has served as global president since February 2021 and has been with Interbrand for 19 years. He succeeds Charles Trevail, who is taking on the role of executive chairman.

Brujó assumes the role overseeing Interbrand, which helps manage brand strategy and design for companies such as Microsoft, Nissan, Accenture and InterContinental Hotel Group, among other major names.
