GSD&M Tops Austin Addys

DALLAS GSD&M received nearly a third of the Addy awards presented by the Austin (Texas) Advertising Federation last Friday.

The Austin agency picked up 50 awards, 16 of which were gold. Among the gold-winning entries: television work for Southwest Airlines and 7-Eleven and a magazine campaign for the U.S. Air Force.

The AAF presented 161 Addy awards at the ceremony, which was held at the Austin Music Hall and attended by 650 people.

Other noteworthy wins: Makos Advertising won the broadcast best of show for its “Conspiracy” campaign produced for Texadelphia. Best of show in new media went to Olive Design for its work on behalf of Best of show in print was presented to Sibley/Peteet Design for its Williams Construction logo.

BRSG Austin received 12 Addys at the event, and Makos, Tocquigny Advertising and TKO Advertising each earned seven.
