NEW YORK Cole & Weber United executive creative director Guy Seese said he is leaving the agency after four years to join Omnicom Group’s Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. He starts at the San Francisco agency in March.

Seese, 35, will be a creative director on the shop’s Saturn and Motorola accounts. He said partners Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein initially approached him in November about the job.

“I really wanted to work with Rich and Jeff and of course that whole group of people they have there,” Seese said. “I wanted to work on big clients.”

At Cole & Weber United in Seattle, where he will stay until the beginning of February, Seese oversees a 15-person creative department, working for clients including Dell, Nike and Microsoft. Cole & Weber said it is seeking his replacement.

His campaign for Rainier Beer, which included a late-night TV show starring two “fans” of the beer, won the first gold hybrid award given by the Art Directors Club and a gold Clio.

The Alaska native and Seattle School of Visual Concepts graduate worked at Hammerquist & Saffel and Leap Partnership before joining Euro RSCG, where he worked on Evian, Volvo and Intel. He was creative director at Mad Dogs & Englishmen before joining Cole & Weber in 2001.
