Former Arnold Execs Land at L.A. Shop

SAN FRANCISCO — Davis-Elen Advertising has hired Rob Ingalls and David Moranville as executive creative directors, the Los Angeles-based shop said today.

The two former executives from Arnold Ingalls Moranville in San Francisco will work in both the Los Angeles office of Davis-Elen and in a new office that the agency plans to open in San Francisco.

Both Ingalls and Moranville left Arnold Worldwide, which is headquartered in Boston, earlier this month after the termination of their three-year contracts. The pair has worked together for more than 20 years.

“We haven’t worked out all the details yet,” said Mark Davis, chairman and CEO of Davis-Elen. “But Rob and David will enhance the creative capabilities of our entire organization. I feel strongly that with their talent we’ll be able to compete on a whole new level as we move ahead in the next decade.”

Davis-Elen, an independent, privately owned shop, was founded in 1924. The agency also has office in San Diego and Portland and reports annual billings of $150 million. It has a subsidiary Hispanic advertising group, AdAmericas, which has $30 million in billings, and a new subsidiary in Mexico City, Carisma, which recently won the Toyota de Mexico account. Other major accounts include McDonald’s, Toyota, Knott’s Berry Farm and Farmer John.
